magazines | October 24 11:41 am

I always like to find different uses for items when I'm thru with them.  For my quilting magazines I clean out my laundry soap boxes and cut the tops off them.  You can decorate the box, put the name of a magazine on it if you want.  Even keep them in order by date.  They stack easy for storage and some have a handle to carry them.  Makes it alot easier to find a particular magazine when you want it.

Quilt patterns from magazines | September 15 2:08 pm

I subscribe to just about every quilting magazine available and I have been saving all of them when one day I needed to do some spring cleaning and noticed that the quilting magazines were taking over.  So I went through the magazines and ripped out the patterns that I loved and slipped them in a acid free sheet protector and filed them in a binder.  I recycled the remainder of the magazines.  I am doing that from now on with every magazine that I receive.

I wish I had taken pictures of each quilt I have given out over the years. By this time I would have quite a portfolio. With digital cameras and camera phones, this has become a lot easier. Keep the record for family and historical purposes.

American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine | May 10 10:21 pm

This is my favorite magazine for patterns and quilting information.  Lots of helpful tips also.  Here is a link to the website for it at Better Homes and Gardens.
