Design ProgramsEQ5 | May 24 12:18 amI've done a lot of designing of blocks over the years, and typically designed single block designs. Now that I have EQ5, I am finally doing a sampler quilt. I did have to draft a great number of my chosen blocks, but I would have to have drawn them to make templates anyway and now EQ5 does that for me. My tip is that once you have drafted blocks and saved them to sketchbook make sure to add them to your user libraries. It took me a while to figure the best way to save a fabric or block is to use it in project and then save it to library. Michelle ClubineCreating Patterns with CorelDraw | April 22 2:55 pm
CorelDraw is an excellent program for creating quilt patterns. CorelDraw allows you to quickly and easily assemble a wide variety of blocks to create a quilt pattern. Due to the nature of the program, it is simple to make quilt blocks, but also has free-draw functions. You can also upload a pre-existing quilt pattern and make changes. A quilt pattern can be added to create a different totally pattern or just enhanced to create a more professional-looking pattern. Creating Patterns with Electric Quilt 5 | April 22 2:54 pm

Creating Patterns with Quilt Pro 3 | April 22 2:53 pm
Quilt Pro 3 is a software package that many quilters find to be a pleasure to use. By using Quilt Pro 3, you can easily create complex blocks in a few simple steps. Quilters can also import patterns created in Quilt Pro 3 to programs such as CorelDRAW or Corel PhotoPaint. Once the pattern is in CorelDRAW or Corel PhotoPaint, a quilter can add distortions or coloring to the patterns to make them look professional. |
