Machine Applique
Much like with hand applique, when you machine applique, you need to make sure the thread will completely blend with the fabric. Monofilament thread is quite handy for these situations where you want the thread to disappear on the fabric. If you prefer a contrasting look, make sure you choose a threat that is contrasting so it looks different on purpose.
